I thought the days of living out of a suitcase or duffle bag where long behind me when I got out of the military. Evendently not!
I recently sold my house, and part of the agreement was that I replace the carpet and paint two rooms. No biggie, hired a crew to do it, and its in the works now. With the move came looking for a new place to live. I'm procrastinated a bit trying to find a place to live, so when it came crunch time to actually move, I started calling realtors, and apartment managers. Two blocks from my work are some very nice apartments, pool, gym, walking trail, very nice. I called to set up an appointment, the first thing i asked was "Do you have immediate openings? I need a place ASAP" I got told yes over the phone. The next day i show up for my appointment, and come to find out, I got blatantly lied to. The first available opening is July 6th. Needless to say, i was pissed. Luckily, these are so nice, and walking distance to work, I went ahead and put down my deposit for the first available 2 bedroom.
Now, until the 6th, i'm stuck in a damn hotel, living out of a suitcase again, crappy internet connection, cant DJ, losing linden..ha.
Life goes on, I cant wait to have a place. Im thinking of selling all my old furniture, and starting from scratch. Going for the minimalistic look, clean and classy.

This has been one helluva week, most with my real life, but SL is included.
To start, in real life I've had my house on the market for sale for a while. I bought my house right before getting out of the military, thinking I'd be married. Real life took a twist, the marriage never happened, and here I sat with a 3 bedroom house, with a bonus room upstairs, and just me and my two dogs. Needless to say its way to much house for 1 person, add to that the hours I work in real life, it was a waist of money. Yesterday I get a call from my realtor that someone made an offer, contingent on two things. One the carpet had to be replaced, and two of the rooms had to be repainted. On my part it was a no brainer, spend 2K to make 9K on the sale. The shitty part is, they want to close at the end of the month, and that means I've got to hire someone to get the carpet and the painting done. Bottom line, I have to be out in 5 days, house empty, so the work can be done by closing time. Ugh...I don't even have a place to stay yet, on top of hiring a moving company on short notice. The stress level is pretty high at the moment, but I'm positive I'll figure something out.

Second life has its ups and downs. One of the clubs i work at is Drama filled right now. People are leaving, quiting, and there is more to come. Most of the drama centers around one person, who is a good friend that I've known since January. I was asked this morning what my intentions are with the club. My reply was "linden before hoes" "I have no intention of leaving this club". Don't get me wrong, I value our friendship, but the drama has nothing to do with me, and I'm staying out of it.
The money I make dancing/DJ is decent, it keeps my rent paid, and lets me buy what i want.

Another bitch some of the dancers, hosts, and DJs have is tips and the amount they are making right now. Its the summer, SL and traffic is slower and I'm a firm believer you create your own income, don't rely on others to create it for you. They have become very complacent with their jobs and got lazy. I don't take shit for granted at this club, the money is decent, and I enjoy working there. One of the other clubs i work at, business is bad, they are cancelling events early, DJs, dancers, host aren't making $1L.

To top it all off, I'm moving more towards being a DJ more, and get totally away from dancing. The money in dancing has been very good to me, but I have whats probably equivalent to dancers block. Let me explain, when I get a tip from a VIP, I type everyone of their emotes on the spot, I don't have note cards saved with old emotes and cut and paste. To me its tacky and they are paying for something personal to them. To sum it up, I'm emoted out. I cant type great quality, melt their thongs off emotes anymore. I draw a blank or cant come up with anything original anymore. So I want to step away from it for a while.

Pink Kitten Productions, who i've made two SL porns with has closed its doors. The owner/producer has decided to stop making movies for whatever reason. Once I get my RL back in order after the move, I'll have to send out notes again and see if I can with another company to make movies.

With the impending move, I will probably be away from SL for about a week until I'm completely moved and can get Internet in the new place. I'll still have SLite and my SL app on my iPhone while I'm at RL work. Wish me luck!
